Product Description:
High-temperature strip brushes with rigid backing have PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) bristles that can withstand prolonged contact with surfaces that will reach temperatures of 300°F or higher and will maintain their integrity in high-temperature applications, even when exposed to caustic chemicals. The PFA bristles are stronger and have a smoother finish than PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) bristles. These brushes are typically mounted along conveyors to direct and separate items on the conveyor and clean debris from conveyed items and conveyor belts and parts in high-volume, high-temperature conveying tasks. Strip brushes with rigid backing, also called metal-backed strip brushes, each have densely compressed bristles that are securely held in a U-shaped metal channel with a retaining wire. They each install into a compatible holder to help maximize contact between the brush and conveyor when the brush is mounted.
