Product Description:
For oil-based varnishes, natural-bristle brushes such as china bristle (hog’s hair) apply the varnish in a thin, even coating. Natural bristle brushes can apply layers of varnish to reduce streaks and distribute the varnish evenly across a wood surface. For water-based varnishes, synthetic brushes with flagged (or split) ends hold their shape while providing an ultra-smooth finish. Water causes natural bristles to splay, which can lead to applying varnish unevenly. Flagged bristles hold more varnish and spread it smoothly in an even, thin layer.
